| Retribution: Time Fades Away by ~Project-N25 Retribution: Time Fades AwayWhen Time Ends for one, one is gone. As the End of Time is the End of You. I could make Time come to a halt, Giving you some pain before Ending you. I could bring Time grinding to a halt, Making you suffer greatly As you are torn apart ------------------------------to End you. Or I could cause Time to crash entirely Bringing Time barreling to the End Snuffing you and all you admire out ----in an instant. But I am not like You. I don't inflict needless pain. I wont do these senseless things. Instead I will gently ease Time to a stop, And you'll -------------simply --------------------------fade ---------------------------------away Author's Notes: (From http://project-n25.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2mbedf) - Spoiler:
Just something I made while working on Time's version of the Pure Seal. (aka the Logic Lock, pertaining to Logic, what I see as the governor of the Universe. Time is only greater then Logic when it comes to an End. This is interesting because as I say, "Time will exist, until it is confronted by a wound that even itself cannot heal, whereby it will come to an End to fix it. But as long as Time marches on, Time will not come to an End." This in itself is a paradox, as if Time were to End itself to fix a problem, it would be no longer marching. This is a paradox because so long as it keeps marchng it will not come to an End, therefore Time couldn't possibly End itself to fix something as it is still marching beforehand. Technicially, the only way to End Time, is through the course of Time itself, as Logic states that everything must come to an End sometime. This only further complicates the paradox as Time needs to come to an End, to End itself, but it can't, because Time cannot come to an End until it comes to an End because it is not marching. Therefore, Time is the only thing that can defeat Logic, but only in this sense, and as a result of this paradox, the notion that Time would End itself to fix a gigantic problem is void, which is why Time is but a spectator; it can only watch what happens as a result of it existing and it cannot fix any gigantic problems. Thankfully, its got Fate, Destiny, Death and of course, Logic, to thank, on account that they ensure no huge problems will ever exist- Fate will guide problems to untimely ends, Destiny will ensure the same by operating on the same effect, and both will go to Death to ensure that anything that could possibly require Time to (impossibly) End itself does not have the chance to do so. Although technicially a last-ditch effort, Logic states that nothing can break itself, resulting in the sheer impossibility of anything getting past Fate, Destiny and Death to create a huge problem. (Confused on how nothing can break Logic when I just said that Time is the only thing that can break it? Time only breaks Logic if it were to End itself, negating the circular paradox, which goes against Logic. By stating that Time cannot possibly do so, it ensures that nothing can break Logic, and hence, create a huge problem. In actuality, the problem in question is the breaking of Logic, as Logic states that if it were to be broken, the end of everything would happen. Because nothing even compares to it, in the scale of its operations, it is the only huge problem that would threaten the stability of the universes. Confusing I know, but when you've built this shit up from scratch and continue to build it, it makes sense.)
Originally something Seven was going to chant to use Time as a weapon, I expanded it into a sad little poem instead. It's actually slightly different then the original, as I had a part about seperating X's life from the flow of Time, making him ageless, so he may experence True Armageddon. (Five billion years from now, when Sol engulfs Mercury, Venus and Earth, and destroys itself in a supernova. (That I didn't make up. Scientific fact.)
It fits Seven nicely, as he breaks down when Snpr unleashes madness, the result of his R.A.G.E system working with Ocean Seven's latent Pure Planet 14 (Earth) powers, which allow PP14 humans to unleash their own Armageddons, but when combined with specific forces, all of them apparent in the R.A.G.E. system, the resulting power is sufficient to revive and summon Madness, a forgotten god that gave PP14 humans their latent power to transform pure negative emotions into Armageddon.
After Seven witnesses the rise of Madness, FLKN tells him about Snpr's history, and that's when he breaks down and FLKN has to beat him emotionally to get him to snap out of it. This would be spoken in Seven's sad monotone voice, which sounds sort of feminine despire Seven being 3,000 some odd years old and a man. (This is attributed to Seven being host to his alternate self, the young Seven that exists in the alternate PP14, where the BA Navy was beaten badly by the GLC and all-out war broke out on the surface. This Seven is explosed to war his entire life, and is this emotionless and pretty philisophical when he speaks. Although he's in a permanent state of sorrow because of the war, his actions and consious thoughts show his emotionless in that he doesn't care about the war.)
I apoligize for the gigantic wall of text. It's a habit. OTL I call it sensitive because there were some people who gawked at it when I showed it to them. I like avoiding hassles.
Yes, all of that huge blurb was relevant. Production notes, explinations of what Logic is. DOn't feel confused if you don't understand half of it- it's mainly for the benefit of those who follow what I write on DeviantART, and I hate to leave out ideas. I maintain I kept all of it on the offchance that someone actually waded through my stuff on dA and knows about this stuff. Note: To get the indented effect, you have to put anything in between the start of the line and the text, and then highlight all the 'junk' and make it white. I just use dashes on the offchance someone wants to copy and paste it elsewhere so it doesn't look all strange. | |
