Rage Against The Darkness
As the sky rains fire
And the seas turn to blood
I shall stand in its path
I will hold my place and not let go
Because with each passing moment
As the pain and suffering show
We slip slowly, inexorably, towards
The never ending Dark
The Dark that swallows us whole
The Dark that destroys who we are
And makes us the people
Of which we should never, ever, be
So I will stand before
The ever coming Dark
I will show others
That there is still Hope
Hope to be had
Hope to be found
Hoping to be clean
And rid of this Darkness
So I stand here
At the place of Darkness
And offer my soul
In the one simple Hope
The Hope that my
petty sacrifice will
give others the Hope
they need to know
So I stand here now
With nothing left
Giving myself over
To the Dark
Giving all
Giving soul
But most of all
Giving Hope to those
That have lost their soul.
